| What is the story behind the book? |
| |
Author Ruthie Jacobsen and her husband Don heard Greater Vision's lead song, "God Wants to Hear You Sing," for which the book was later named, and were profoundly moved by it. They kept meeting people who said their lives had been changed by the message of that song. Finally Ruthie told Rodney Griffin (of Greater Vision) that someone should put all those stories together in a book. He suggested she do it! So she did. |

| How did Rodney Griffin become involved in the project? |
| |
God Wants To Hear You Sing! author Ruthie Jacobsen and her husband Don had heard Rodney Griffin (Songwriter of the Year for the past 10 years), and his trio, Greater Vision, sing at concerts and at the national Quartet Convention and were inspired by their music. Ruthie and Don finally met Rodney on a Christian cruise in the Caribbean, and they became instant friends, later deciding to write the book together. |

|
| Why the focus on music? |
| |
The book is built around songs. "It's a language everyone understands; music is a language of the heart. Christian music can speak hope," says author Ruthie Jacobsen. "It serves as a source of encouragement and optimism, assuring people that they will get through hard times." |

|
| How do we know that there really is hope for times of tragedy and need? |
| |
The songs in God Wants To Hear You Sing! are based on Scripture. "Throughout God's Word He has been true to His promises. We know that He still cares about us today, and that He wants to assure us, We can trust Him!" says author Ruthie Jacobsen. |
